da heads bet: Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has been the talk of the football sphere these last couple of days following his goalscoring performance in the Champions League.
da mrbet: The England international netted a hat-trick in a 3-0 win over APOEL on Tuesday night, which ensured that the club continue their winning run in the competition.
Kane has proven season by season that he is one of the best forwards in the Premier League having won back-to-back Golden Boot awards, but now that he is showing it on the European stage, people are beginning to discuss whether he can be considered among football’s elite.
So far in 2017, the 24-year-old has scored six hat-tricks, which is four more than Barcelona star Lionel Messi and Real Madrid hero Cristiano Ronaldo have recorded, with both nabbing two hat-tricks.
Kane also leads the scoring charts in the Champions League with five goals in total, with Messi on two and Ronaldo on four.
Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris has done little to quieten the comparisons by claiming that Kane is as important to the North London outfit as Messi and Ronaldo are to their clubs.
talkSPORT quotes the French goalkeeper as saying:
“In every big team you have a big goalscorer. In Tottenham it is Harry Kane. I think for him he has got a lot of things to prove in the Champions League. He shows his quality and skills at the moment. Five goals in two games is fantastic and hopefully he will carry on in the same way for him and the team. We are not surprised about Harry, we know his talent, his skills, his aptitude to score goals and important goals. He is our main player, like in top teams, in Real Madrid you have Ronaldo, in Barca you have Messi.”
