Matt Targett left a lot behind when he moved from the south coast to the Midlands – swapping Southampton for Aston Villa.
Fortunately for the left-back, he’s had a lot of help settling in from one of his Villa teammates.
The defender has moved in next door to John McGinn, and he says that living so close to one of his teammates has really helped him settle into the club.
McGinn has lived in the Midlands for over a year at this point, and Targett says that he’s helped him learn more about the local area.
Hopefully, this not only helps Targett settle into his new surroundings, but it could also help him on the pitch as a close bond with McGinn will undoubtedly improve their understanding when they play together.
