da cassino online: Newcastle’s revival looks to be in full swing with the club managing to pick up another three points over the weekend after they saw off Bournemouth in a 2-1 win at St. James’ Park.
da 888casino: Salomon Rondon’s brace on the day meant it was back-to-back victories for the Magpies following their first Premier League win of the season versus Watford last Saturday, and noise is now being made about the Venezuelan potentially making his loan move from West Brom to Newcastle permanent.
The Breakdown
“Now is not the time to talk about that [Rondon’s loan deal], just enjoy the goals he scored,” Rafael Benitez was quoted saying by the Evening Chronicle.
“He was the No 1 target because of the price. I liked the player, I was in contact with his agent [over the summer], and in contact with his agent working on the possibility.”
Benitez did not confirm whether his preference was to bring Rondon in on a permanent basis over the summer or if he would have the club pursue a more long-term deal for the 29-year-old in the future. But what is clear is that the Spaniard clearly rates his £11.7m-rated (via Transfermarkt) loan signing, a loan signing who can bring much to the Newcastle starting XI.
There is no denying Rondon’s poor start to the season, even if he has had a few injury problems. However, as he showed in his match-winning display against Bournemouth, he can be an unplayable centre-forward on his day.
He has the strength to hold up the ball, the necessary aerial prowess to win duels in the air and enough pace to beat the average Premier League defender.
With all of that in mind, a permanent transfer for Rondon is one well worth chasing for Newcastle.
